NYのカスタムハットショップ: Hat Clubが火付け役となり再燃している1996年ワールドシリーズのヤンキース優勝を記念した59FIFTYサイドパッチキャップです。
フラッグロゴが刺繍される前のモデルなのでパッチは右側、90年代を象徴するグレーのアンダーブリムにホワイトのヘッドバンドです。
NYの古着屋で購入したものですが、この時期の白縁のワールドシリーズのパッチは見たことないので、おそらくどこかのショップが別注したカスタムモデルではないでしょうか。
ヤンキースのチームロゴは元々強盗に襲われて負傷した警察官を表彰する名誉勲章メダルのデザインを依頼されたTiffany & Co.がデザインし、球団オーナーの1人が警察署長がだった縁故から1909年にチームロゴとして採用された物とのことなので個人的に集めていますが、コレクション整理で出品です。
ある意味最も手に取りやすいティファニーなのではないでしょうか。
最後のスライドによく見る黒縁との比較を載せました。
つば裏グレーのオーセンティックです。
裏側は少しヤケがあります。
個人的にはHat Clubでも復刻している芯なし細縁のMLBロゴがビンテージ90sらしくてツボです。
